BEHIND THE SCENES
While the play (a Brechtian adaptation of Dion Boucicault's 1859 "The Octoroon") typically calls for a black-box theatrical setting, this production was set in the proscenium-endowed Victoria J. Mastrobuono theater. Utilizing the theater's entire space, melodramatic design history was incorporated in the final production.
